Aradhana Apparels is based in Anand Nagar, right near the Ganesh Mandir. If you ask anyone near the Vakola Police Station, they can probably point you toward our building at 35/275. Santacruz East is a busy place, but our little corner feels a bit more like a community. We have been here for years, and the locals know us. The workspace isn't very big, so we have to stay organized, or things get messy fast. We spend our mornings drinking tea from the stall at the corner and then we get right into the work. There’s no big sign with flashing lights out front. It’s just a door that leads to where we work. We focus on making clothes that people can actually use. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just talk across the room to get things done. Sometimes the power goes out, or the water is slow, but that's just part of living and working in this part of Mumbai. Being near the police station means it’s a safe area, and there is always a bit of a crowd around the temple. We like the rhythm of this place. It isn't a high-end office, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and finish the garments. It’s a practical business run by people who live right here in the neighborhood. We don't need anything more than that. It’s just how we do things.
