Aquatic World

We’re located on the first floor of Rahat Bazar Manzil, at 1-D, Fort Road in Mahim. Aquatic World is basically just a place full of tanks and the sound of bubbling filters. It’s not a high-end boutique. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the supplies we have to keep on hand. We spend a lot of our time cleaning glass and making sure the water is just right for the fish. It’s a messy job, honestly. Your hands are always wet and you’re constantly carrying buckets around. We aren't trying to be the most famous shop in Mumbai. We just like what we do. People come in asking all sorts of questions about their home setups, and we just give them the best advice we can based on what’s worked for us. We’ve had some tough days where a tank leaks or a pump fails in the middle of the night, but that’s part of the trade. Mahim is a busy spot, and we get all kinds of people walking in. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. It’s just us and the fish. We keep things simple and try to be honest about what people actually need versus what is just a waste of money. It’s a small shop, but it keeps us busy and we’ve made some good friends through it. We usually open up early and stay until the last customer leaves.
