Apara International

Our office is up on the second floor of the Uttung Chs building, right near Dadar West. Being on D. L. Vaidya Road means it's always noisy outside with all the traffic near Shiv Sena Bhavan Path. Apara International occupies rooms 201 and 204. It’s a busy area of Mumbai, so there’s always someone rushing past the entrance. We’ve been here long enough that the creak in the floorboards doesn't bother us anymore. We handle international trade stuff, mostly sitting at our desks and making sure the shipping documents are in order. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls to people in different time zones. The space is a bit tight with all the filing cabinets, but it serves its purpose. We don’t bother with fancy decor or expensive furniture. As long as the computers work and the coffee is hot, we’re fine. The local tea stall downstairs is where we usually end up during our breaks. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We aren't here to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to get the shipments moved and clear the backlog of emails. Dadar is a frantic place to be, but it keeps us on our toes. We’ve grown used to the pace of this neighborhood and the way the building feels on a rainy afternoon. It is just another day at the office for us.
