Shalom Fashions Inc.

We are based out of B/103 on Nahar Amrit Shakti Road in Andheri East. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and the traffic on the road outside can be pretty intense. Shalom Fashions Inc. is located in a building that has a lot of other offices too. Inside our space, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and racks of samples. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at designs on the screen. It’s not a huge office, so we’re all kind of on top of each other, but it works for us. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay organized, even when the samples are spilling out of the boxes. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is due, and we end up ordering food for the whole office. We don’t have a corporate handbook or anything fancy like that. We just figure things out as we go. The view from the window is just more buildings and the street below, but it keeps us connected to the city. We’ve been here at this address for a few years now. People come and go, but the core group stays the same. We’re just a bunch of regular people trying to make a living in the fashion world without getting too caught up in the glitz of it all. It’s a job like any other, really. We just show up and do it.
