Andheri West is always a mess with traffic, and being right on Masjid Street makes it even more hectic. We are in Pearl Plaza, just off S V Road. Our shop is packed with clothes from floor to ceiling. Some days you can barely move in here because we have so many boxes of new stuff arriving. It’s a lot of manual labor, unpacking everything and getting it onto the hangers. We see hundreds of people walking past every hour. Some stop in because they saw something in the window, while others are regulars who know when we get new stock. We don’t have much room for a break, so we usually just eat our lunch behind the counter. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move everything away from the door. It’s a busy life in this part of town. People are always in a rush, so we try to help them find what they need quickly. We don't have any fancy displays, just the clothes and ourselves. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but seeing someone find a good outfit makes it worth the effort. We stay open late because that’s when the street is busiest. That is just how life goes for us in Andheri.
