You’ll find us in Pearl Height, specifically at A 1306, which is right behind the Danish Apartment on Yari Road. Being here in Versova, Andheri West, means there is always something going on right outside our window. The traffic on Yari Road can be a real nightmare in the evenings, but it’s a lively place to have a clothing studio. We work out of this apartment-style space, so it feels more like a home than a regular shop or office. There are racks of clothes everywhere you look, and the dining table is usually covered in sketches and fabric swatches. It gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of working on a new collection. We don't have a big staff, just a few people helping with the stitching and the finishing touches. Sometimes clients come in for fittings, and we have to move things around just to find a place for them to stand in front of the big mirror. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics and trying to figure out what looks best for the pieces we are making. We usually have some music playing to keep things light while we work. It’s not a corporate office at all. It’s just our little workspace where we try to get things made. When it gets too crowded, we just step out onto the balcony to feel the sea breeze and watch the birds.
