Our office is at 102, Prabhadevi Industrial Estate, right on Veer Savarkar Marg. Being near the Siddhi Vinayak Temple means the area is always packed with people and cars, especially on Tuesdays. And Systems is a small operation, and we’ve been in this building for quite a few years now. The estate itself is one of those old Mumbai industrial buildings that has a lot of character but also its fair share of leaks during the monsoon. We work on systems and technical things, which feels a bit strange in such an old, gritty building. The lift is old and slow, so we usually just take the stairs to the first floor. Inside, it's a mix of cables, old monitors, and some desks we’ve moved around a dozen times to make more room. It isn't a silent place to work; you can hear the traffic outside and the hum of the air conditioners trying to keep up with the heat. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls. We just have a calendar and a few photos. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to talk much to get things done. We grab snacks from the vendors outside the estate gates during our breaks. It’s just how we do things in Prabhadevi. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing our daily tasks and making sure the systems are running.
