Ampersand Computers

You can find Ampersand Computers over at 4/74, Nityanand Nagar. We are in Andheri East, which is one of the busiest parts of the city. We are quite close to the Swami N area and the Bata Showroom is a big landmark nearby. If you walk past the showroom, we are just a little way down. The shop is small and filled with boxes of keyboards, monitors, and various computer parts. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We spend the whole day looking at screens or opening up computer cases to see what’s wrong. Andheri is always loud, so we have the fan running at full speed to drown out some of the noise from the traffic. It’s a lot of walking if you’re coming from the station, but we are used to it. The walls are a bit stained from the monsoon leaks in the past, but we keep the equipment dry and safe. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they walk past. We have a small kettle for making tea when we get a break. It’s a humble place, just a few of us working together to keep things running. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we just handle the computers and try to stay organized. Most days are long but we enjoy the work we do here in this small corner of Andheri.
