Amittron Computers

Our shop is situated at Andheri East 13, which is a very active area for anyone working with technology. There are always boxes stacked up in the corners, some filled with new components and others with old scraps that we keep for spare parts. Working on computers requires a lot of sitting in front of screens and squinting at small circuit boards. We have several long tables where we line up the machines we are currently fixing. The light in the shop is quite bright so we can see the tiny screws and wires we have to handle. People from all over Andheri come in with various complaints about their gadgets. Sometimes it’s a simple fix and other times we have to keep the machine for a few days to figure out what is wrong. It is a bit cramped inside because we try to fit a lot of equipment into the space we have. The noise of cooling fans is the constant background sound here. We don't spend much time on decorations; the walls are mostly covered with calendars and power strips. It’s a practical environment for people who just want their computers to work again. We take things as they come and try to handle the repairs as quickly as we can manage given the daily workload. There is always something new to figure out since technology changes so quickly. We just do our best to stay current with whatever new problems people bring through our front door.
