Ambika Computer

The shop is located in the Fort Sukhwani Campus which is right along the Mumbai Pune Highway. It is always noisy here because of the heavy traffic and the horns blowing at all hours. Ambika Computer is not a very big place. We have some old desks and a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait for us to look at their machines. Vallabh Nagar is a busy area and being at 160/170 means we see a lot of people walking by from the highway. We deal with broken screens, keyboards that don't work, and slow laptops every single day. The room smells a bit like solder and dusty plastic fans. We have cables hanging from hooks on the wall and boxes of spare parts tucked under the tables. Sometimes the internet is slow and we just have to wait it out. It gets quite stuffy in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows facing the highway. We mostly just fix what comes in through the door. It is not like those big corporate service centers you see in the city. It is just a few of us trying to figure out why a motherboard died or cleaning out the dirt from a tower. We get people from the campus and travelers who stopped because their tech failed on the road. It keeps us occupied from morning until we close up late at night. Sometimes the highway is so loud we have to shout just to hear each other.
