Allied Fruit Industries

Allied Fruit Industries is based on the 1St Floor of the Capitol Cinema Annexe. It is right opposite the C.S.T. station on H.S. Marg, which is one of the busiest spots in the city. Being in such an old, historic building means the ceilings are very high but the wooden stairs are a bit steep and creaky. You can hear the constant noise of the trains and the crowds outside all day long. We deal with fruits, so there is always a certain smell in the air around the office—sometimes it’s sweet and sometimes it’s a bit heavy depending on the season. It is a fast-paced business because the fresh produce doesn't wait for anyone to get ready. We are constantly checking the latest stock and talking to the vendors at the market. The office itself is quite old-fashioned and simple. We have these heavy wooden desks and old metal filing cabinets that have been here since we first started. It isn't the kind of fancy place you see in movies, but it works perfectly well for us. We get a lot of walk-ins because of our location right near the main station. People are always in a big hurry in this part of Mumbai. We try our best to keep up with that energy every day. Sometimes the rain leaks through the old windows during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket down and keep working. It is an honest living in a busy part of the city.
