Ali Asgar Stores

This is Ali Asgar Stores. We are at Shop No 6 on 132 Husainiya Marg. Our place is in the 1st Block, right next to Zainabiyah Hall. If you are walking down Sandhut Road, you can't miss us. It’s an old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. We’ve been in this shop for many years. It’s filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items. Sometimes it's hard to find things, but we usually know exactly which shelf has what. The hall next door often has events, so it gets very busy around here on certain days. We see a lot of familiar faces every day. People stop by for a quick chat even if they aren't buying anything. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a regular store where we sell everyday things. We open early in the morning when the milk trucks come by and stay open until the street gets quiet at night. It’s a lot of standing and moving boxes, but it keeps us active. We like being part of this community. Everyone knows everyone else around Husainiya Marg. It's just a simple way to make a living in a place we know well.
