Al Majid Exports

Our office is over at B-102 in the Tanveer Apartment. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the files and the phone ringing all the time. Dr. L. Melvin Road gets pretty crowded in the afternoons so getting here can be a pain. We started Al Majid Exports because we knew a few people who needed help moving goods. It isn't a huge operation. Mostly just me and a couple of others sitting at desks and making sure the shipping labels are right. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking where containers are. Sometimes the internet goes out and we just have to wait it out. It's not glamorous work. My desk is usually covered in tea cups and half-eaten snacks. We don't really have a big sign outside. Most people just find us through word of mouth. We handle the paperwork and the headaches that come with sending stuff abroad. It’s a lot of back and forth with the customs guys. Sometimes things get stuck and we have to spend the whole day fixing it. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. The neighbors are nice enough, though they probably get tired of us talking so loud on the phone. We just try to get the orders out and keep everyone happy. It's a living, and we keep at it every day. It's nothing special but it's what we do to get by.
