You can find us at shop number 26 in Govandi. We are situated near Dumping Road, which is a busy part of the neighborhood. It is a straightforward kirana and general store where we sell the basic things everyone uses at home. We have flour, spices, matchboxes, and some toiletries too. The shop is not very large, so we utilize the walls and even the ceiling to hang packets of chips and other small items. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we are always here. We know most of the people who live in the surrounding buildings by their names or at least by what they usually buy. Sometimes people just stop by for a quick chat while they get their daily milk or bread. We don't have any help, it is just us managing the inventory and the sales. Dealing with the suppliers can be a headache sometimes when things don't arrive on time, but we manage. The road outside can get quite dusty with all the traffic, so we are always wiping down the glass counter. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. We don't do any delivery or anything like that, people just walk in. It has been this way for a long time. We try to keep the prices fair so the locals keep coming back. It is just a regular shop serving a regular crowd here in Govandi.
