Akai Sales Co-Opreation

Our place is Gala No 8 inside the National Rubber Compound over in Goregaon East. It’s one of those older industrial compounds where you have to navigate around parked trucks and stacks of palettes to get to the door. We’ve been here for a while now, handling sales and keeping our inventory moving. The space is mostly filled with stock, so there isn't much room for a big desk or chairs. We spend most of the day on our feet, checking lists and making sure the right boxes go out to the right people. It gets pretty humid inside during the monsoon, but we just keep the big doors open and keep working. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. We have a small corner for files and a phone that never seems to stop ringing. Most of our regulars just walk in and know exactly where to find us. We don't really do anything fancy here. It’s just about getting the orders filled and making sure we don't lose track of anything in the shuffle. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping things organized in a small space. We know the other folks in the compound well, and it feels like a little community of its own back here. It is just basic trading and daily warehouse work.
