Aishwarya Design Studio Private Limited

Our studio is over in Vile Parle West, specifically on Ruby House on Irla Society Road. We are right opposite Alfa-3, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Even though the name says Private Limited, we are just a group of people working together in a studio space. Vile Parle is a very busy part of Mumbai. There is never a quiet moment on the street outside. Inside, we are usually busy with sketches, fabrics, and taking measurements. It’s not a polished corporate office at all. It’s a working studio. There are scraps of cloth on the floor and measuring tapes draped over the chairs most of the time. We spend a lot of time talking to people about what they want to wear for different occasions. It’s a lot of back and forth to get things right. Mumbai weather is often humid, so we try to keep the fans going throughout the day. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because they live in the area or someone told them about our work. We aren't trying to be some big global brand. We just like making clothes that people feel good in. The commute for some of us is quite long, but that’s just life in this city. Every evening we tidy up the studio to get ready for the next day. It’s a repetitive cycle but it works for us. We’ve been in this spot for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our routine stays mostly the same.
