Our office is tucked away on the first floor of the Anandraj Service Industrial Estate. If you know the Sonapur Lane area off L.B.S. Road in Bhandup West, you know it can get pretty stuck with traffic during the day. We have been in this spot for a while now. Dealing with trading means we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists of what is coming in and going out. It's an industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise from the other units, but you get used to it after a week or two. We handle a variety of items depending on what the market needs. Most of our day is just talking to transport guys and making sure the stock is actually where the paper says it is. Sometimes mistakes happen, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them. It isn't a glamorous job. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the desk is usually covered in folders and old receipts. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how things work. People come by the estate for all sorts of parts and services. We try to be helpful when someone walks in looking for something specific. It is just a regular trading business, keeping things moving in the middle of a busy part of the city. We usually finish up by six if the deliveries are on time.
