Our shop is at 310 Rizvi Chambers in Bandra. Accurate Test Equipment And Engineers is a bit of a long name for what we do, which is mostly fiddling with machines and tools. The office is usually cluttered with parts and diagrams. Bandra is a crowded place, and Rizvi Chambers is no different. We spend a lot of time testing things to make sure they actually work like they’re supposed to. It’s quiet work mostly, unless we’re running a specific piece of gear that makes a hum. We’ve been in this room for quite some time now. The windows look out over the street, but we don't spend much time looking out. There’s always a piece of equipment that needs looking at or a report that needs writing. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who understand how these things work. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. We have cabinets full of manuals that we’ve collected over the years. Some are getting pretty dusty. People come to us when they have technical stuff that needs a proper look. We just take it apart, see what’s wrong, and try to get it right. It takes patience. You can't rush this kind of thing or you’ll mess it up. We just take our time and do it right.
