If you are looking for us, you have to head up to the first floor of Var Jivan Mention on Princesses Street. It’s Room No-4. S.G. Marg is always loud, and the stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It’s one of those old Mumbai spots where every room has a different business going on. Inside our space, it’s mostly just desks, stacks of paperwork, and samples of the stuff we trade. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of boxes coming in, but we manage. My assistant and I spend most of the morning on the phone or answering messages. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just us trying to keep the orders moving and making sure our suppliers are happy. Princesses Street is a hub for all sorts of hardware and chemicals, so it’s a good place to be, even if the traffic is a nightmare most afternoons. Sometimes I lean out the window just to see what’s happening on the street below. We don’t do anything fancy here. We just buy, sell, and keep the records straight. It’s honest work, even if the office gets a bit dusty and the fan makes a clicking noise all day.
