We are located in the Tambakuwala Building at B-4. It’s on Masjid Gali, right off B. S. Road in Dadar West. Dadar is always a bit of a scramble with the crowds and the market nearby, especially in the evenings. Our shop is in one of those older buildings that has a lot of character, though the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. We deal with textiles and clothing creations. There are rolls of fabric stacked against the walls, sometimes reaching up to the ceiling in the back room. We have to use a wooden ladder to get the ones at the top when someone asks for a specific color. It gets quite busy during the festive seasons, and the shop feels even smaller then with people coming in and out. We have a few desks where we handle the cutting and the bookkeeping. The air is often filled with the smell of new cloth and a bit of dust. We’ve been here for quite some time now, so we know most of the other shopkeepers on the lane. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It's a simple, honest business. We work long hours, especially when there's a big order that needs to be finished quickly. We just focus on the fabric and making sure everything looks okay before it leaves the building.
