A1 Plastics

A1 Plastics is situated at 6-A, Vinod Mahal, which is right opposite the Gawde Market at Worli Naka. Being in Worli Naka means we are right in the middle of all the action. The Gawde Market is always bustling with people buying vegetables and clothes, so there’s never a quiet moment outside our door. We sell a variety of plastic goods, mostly stuff for the kitchen or general household use. The shop inside Vinod Mahal is small, but we pack it to the ceiling with items. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend a lot of time moving boxes around so people can see what’s available. Most of our customers are locals who are just passing through the market and realize they need a new bucket or some storage containers. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the buildings around us get taller and the traffic get much worse. It’s a very urban spot, but there’s a good sense of community among the shopkeepers. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start selling. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. Sometimes it gets really hot inside, but with the market right across the road, there’s always something interesting to see. It’s just a regular shop doing its best in a busy part of the city.
