A S Fashion

Our shop is located at 59 Napean Sea Road. It is a nice area of Mumbai, though the traffic can be a real headache most days. Here at A S Fashion, we are mostly surrounded by fabrics and different materials all day long. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about where we stack things so we don't trip over them. We spend a lot of time looking at different patterns and talking to folks who stop by to see what we have. It’s a lot of manual work, sewing and checking the details on various pieces of clothing. The sea breeze sometimes makes it through the window, which is nice when it’s humid out. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us working together to get things finished. Most days are spent sitting at the machines or standing over the cutting table. It gets a bit messy with threads and scraps of cloth on the floor, but that is just part of the job. We have been in this spot for a good while and the neighbors know us. It is a simple setup, just some lights, a couple of mirrors, and the racks where we keep everything. We don't really do much in the way of big marketing, people just find us by walking past on the road. It’s steady work and keeps us occupied until we close up for the night and head back out into the city.
