A 1 Chicken Shop

A 1 Chicken Shop is located in Indira Nagar, right near the Air India Colony in Santacruz East. We are a small local shop that deals with poultry every day. The work starts very early when the birds are brought in. It is a messy job, and we spend a lot of our time cleaning and prepping the meat for our customers. The shop isn't much to look at, just a counter and the equipment we need. We are right in the middle of a busy residential area, so we get a lot of housewives and cooks coming in to get what they need for dinner. The smell of the neighborhood is a mix of everything, and we are just a small part of that. We do not have air conditioning, just some fans to keep the air moving. It gets pretty humid in the afternoons. We know our customers well and often chat while we are weighing out the orders. We do not use any fancy packaging, just the standard bags. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight for a bit, but we never stop. It is hard work on your feet all day, and your hands get tired, but it is a living. We do not try to be anything other than a neighborhood chicken shop. We just stay open until the stock is gone and then we clean up for tomorrow.
