The Flame Restaurant & Lounge

You can find us at the Modipuram Bypass on Roorkee Road in Meerut. We are right near the Modipuram Crossing, which is a pretty busy intersection most of the time. The Flame is where we spend most of our waking hours. We have both a restaurant area and a lounge space, so it's a bit bigger than some of the other spots around here. Being on the bypass means we see a lot of travelers as well as people from Meerut city. The 250110 area stays active well into the evening. We do the cooking and the serving and everything in between. It’s a lot of running around, especially on weekends when families come out. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good because it gets hot in this part of the country. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel or anything, just a place to get a meal and sit for a bit. The staff is mostly locals who live nearby. We’ve had some long days here, but that’s the restaurant business for you. Sometimes the supplies don't show up on time and we have to improvise. We keep the place tidy as best as we can. It’s a straightforward operation at the crossing. If you're driving past the bypass, you'll probably see our sign. We try to keep the lights on and the doors open even when things get a bit stressful in the kitchen.
