Dil Chawla Restaurant

Our place is located on Police Street in Meerut City, right opposite where the UP Roadways buses pull in. It is a very busy spot and there is always noise from the horns and people shouting. Dil Chawla Restaurant has been serving travelers and locals for quite a while now. Because the bus stand is right there we get a lot of people who are just passing through and need a quick meal before their next journey. We keep the food simple and the prices fair because we know people are working hard for their money. The building is old and we haven't changed much over the years. We have fans going and benches for people to sit. It’s not the kind of place you go for a romantic date but it is the kind of place you go when you want a full stomach. Our kitchen staff starts early in the morning to get the gravy ready for the day. We deal with a lot of dust from the road so we are constantly wiping down the tables and cleaning the floor. Meerut is a tough city sometimes but the people are good and they appreciate a decent meal. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly drivers and workers from around the street. We aren't trying to be the most popular place in town. We just want to be the place you can count on when you’re hungry at the bus stop.
