Alora Bar & Restaurant

If you head to Metro Plaza on Delhi Road in Meerut, you’ll find us on the second floor. Our unit is S-205. Being on the second floor means you have to take the stairs or the lift, and we get a decent view of the road from some of the windows. Alora Bar & Restaurant is a place where we try to keep things simple. The interior has some booths and some regular tables, and the bar is tucked into the corner. We spend our mornings checking the kitchen supplies and making sure the bar is ready for the evening. It can be a bit quiet during the day, which gives us time to do the deep cleaning. By the time evening rolls around, the plaza gets busier and more people start coming up. We don't have any loud music or flashing signs. It’s just a spot to grab some food or have a drink. The staff here is small, so we all do a bit of everything, from serving to cleaning up spills. The air conditioning works hard when Meerut gets hot, and you can usually hear the hum of the units in the background. It’s a functional space for people who want to get away from the street noise for a while. We stay open until the mall starts to quiet down and the last customers head home. There’s always more cleaning to do at the end.
