Alshayaan Restaurant

Our restaurant is over at Hapur Adda in the Gola Kuan area of Meerut City. It’s a very local spot and the neighborhood has its own specific feel that you don't find elsewhere. We’ve been here in Meerut for a while now. The shop is simple, located right in the middle of the bustle of Gola Kuan. We don't have any big signs with flashing lights. It’s just a plain storefront where we do our daily work. Every day we come in, light the stoves, and start the prep for the day. There’s always a lot of chopping and stirring to do before the lunch crowd shows up. Hapur Adda is a place where something is always happening, so there’s never really a quiet moment. We see all sorts of people walking by. Our chairs are basic and our plates are simple, because we focus on the food more than the look of the place. We don't have a website or a social media manager to handle things. We just stand behind the counter and talk to our customers as they come. Sometimes the heat in Meerut gets to be a lot, but we just keep the fans running and stay busy with our tasks. We know the other shop owners around here, and it feels like a little community. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just try to get through the day, serve everyone who comes in, and make sure the kitchen is clean before we head home.
