If you head over to Pallav Puram Phase-2 in Modipuram, you’ll see Archna Knowledge Park. That is where we are set up. Royale College of Tourism Hotel Management & Professional Studies takes up a good chunk of space there. It is usually pretty lively inside with students practicing how to set tables or manage a front desk. We have a kitchen area where things can get a bit hectic during the practical sessions. You can often smell whatever is being cooked all the way down the hall. We try to keep things realistic, so the students know what they are getting into when they start working in actual hotels. Meerut gets quite cold in the winter, so the morning classes start with everyone huddled in their sweaters until the sun warms the place up. It’s a lot of work teaching people how to be professional and polite even when they are tired. We go through a lot of laundry with all the uniforms and table linens. It isn't always perfect; sometimes a glass breaks or a recipe doesn't turn out right, but that's how people learn. We have some older computers for the office work and a small library area that’s mostly quiet. Local people know us as the place where the kids learn about the travel business. We just stay busy with our daily classes and help the students figure out their future. The staff here works hard to keep everything organized and running.
