Punjabi Shudh Bhojnalaya

Punjabi Shudh Bhojnalaya has been at I413/5 in Ganga Nagar for a good while now. Meerut is a place with a lot of history, and we like being part of this neighborhood. We are just a simple bhojnalaya, nothing more. We focus on vegetarian food because that is what we know. The kitchen is small but we keep it clean and organized as much as we can. It’s usually just a few of us working here, making sure the dal and roti are ready for the lunch rush. Ganga Nagar is a nice area, and we have a lot of local families who come in. We don't have a fancy menu with hundreds of items. We just make a few things every day and make enough so we don't run out too early. Sometimes we run out of the special dish by 2 PM if it’s a busy Tuesday. We don't have air conditioning or soft music playing. It’s just tables, chairs, and good steam coming from the pots. We use the same recipes we’ve used for years. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. That is our daily life here in Meerut and it suits us.
