Praveen Restaurants

Our place is located right on the Delhi Haridwar Bypass Road here in Meerut. It is a busy spot because of all the cars and buses heading towards the mountains or back to the city. We opened up near Rohta Road on Baghpat Road because we saw how many people needed a place to sit down for a bit. Usually, it is a mix of long-distance drivers and local families from the neighborhood. We focus on getting the food out on time because nobody wants to wait an hour when they have a long drive ahead. The kitchen stays pretty warm in the summer, but we keep the fans going. We use local vegetables and the same recipes we have used at home for years. My uncle helps with the accounts and I usually stay near the counter to watch the tables. We have some wooden chairs and tables that have been there since we started. It isn't a quiet place during lunch or dinner time, especially on weekends. We often have to run out to the market nearby to get more supplies when things get unexpectedly crowded. It is just a regular spot for a meal. We don't do anything too complicated. Just keeping the floor swept and the pots cooking is enough to keep us busy from morning until late night. We have been serving this community and the travelers passing through since we first opened the doors.
