Lazeez Affair

Lazeez Affair is tucked away in the basement of Shivam Plaza on Hapur Road. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice during the Meerut summers. We are quite close to Eves Crossing, so the traffic outside is almost constant. You can hear the bikes and cars from down here. We spend a lot of time making sure the stairs are clean and the lights are working since it can get dark. The address is 250002 and we have been here for some time now. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the kitchen and some seating. We do a lot of the heavy work ourselves, like carrying the supplies down from the road. The plaza has other shops too, so we know the other owners around here. We aren't trying to be some high-end restaurant with white tablecloths. We just have simple tables and a menu that stays the same mostly. Most of our day is spent prepping food and then cleaning up the dishes afterwards. It’s a lot of scrubbing and wiping floors. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the doors and wait for people to come down the stairs. It’s a practical way to run a business and we like the routine of it all. Working in a basement has its own rhythm, away from the direct sun and dust.
