Indiana Bar & Restaurant

You will find Indiana Bar & Restaurant over on Chappel Street, number 64 to be exact. We are right in the Begum Bridge area of Meerut. It is a very busy spot because Mall Road is just around the corner. The street noise outside is constant, with rickshaws and cars always honking. Inside, it’s a bit darker and quieter. We’ve got the bar on one side and the tables for eating on the other. It’s been here for years, and the wooden furniture shows its age in some spots. We don’t mind that much, as long as it’s sturdy. The kitchen stays busy with snacks and meals for people stopping by after work. The staff here knows the menu by heart, so we don't really look at the printed ones much anymore. Sometimes the television is on in the corner showing the news or a game, and nobody really pays it much attention unless something big happens. The floor is made of old tiles that we mop down every morning and night. Being near Begum Bridge means we get a mix of regulars and people just passing through the city. It’s a straightforward place to have a drink or a plate of food. We keep the bottles lined up and the fridge stocked. It is just a regular Meerut establishment doing its thing. The bathroom is down a small hallway, and the light switch is a bit loose. We keep a few posters on the walls, but they are faded from the sun. The tables are covered with simple cloths that we wash every couple of days. Sometimes the ice machine is a bit loud, but it keeps the drinks cold. We have a regular crowd of men who come in every evening to talk about work. The kitchen door swings back and forth all night long. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have been here forever.
