Sariyan Biofarming Private Limited

We are based out of the Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park, right inside the IIT Kharagpur campus. It’s a bit of a different setting than a regular farm, but Sariyan Biofarming Private Limited is still very much about the ground and what grows in it. Being at the STEP facility gives us a place to focus on the technical side of farming. We are in Midnapore, and while we have some smart people around us, we are mostly just trying to find better ways to do biofarming. It’s not about being a giant corporation. We are a small team that spends a lot of time looking at how to improve the way food is grown without using too many chemicals. The office is usually full of notes and samples. We don't have a polished front desk or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where we get things done. Kharagpur is a busy place, and being linked to the technology park helps us stay organized. We talk to local farmers and try to bridge the gap between new ideas and old traditions. It’s a lot of trial and error. Some things work great and others don't, but that's just how it goes when you're working with nature. We aren't here to give big speeches. We just want to see more healthy crops in the local markets. It’s practical, everyday work for us, even if our address sounds a bit more formal than a village plot. We keep at it.
