We are located in Kotva at the house of Pushapa Singh. It is listed as Pushapa Singh01 if you are looking at the old records. Krishi Upaj Producer Company Limited is what we call ourselves on the government forms, but to the people around here, we are just the folks who deal with the crops. Kotva is a small place and news travels fast. If someone has a good yield, we all know by lunchtime. We spend our afternoons sitting around the porch talking about the bugs in the fields or the way the wind is blowing. It is a very simple way to live. We don't have computers on every desk or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and yell hello until someone comes out from the back. There are always bags of seeds or tools lying around. We try to keep things organized but it is hard when there is so much to do outside. The dust from the road settles on everything, so we are always wiping down the tables. We are just a bunch of local people trying to make the most of what the land gives us. It is not a glamorous life, but it is ours. We don't need to explain ourselves to anyone because the work we do shows up in the harvest every year. We just keep going, day after day, through the heat and the rain.
