Kisanekta Farmer Producer Company Limited

Kisanekta Farmer Producer Company Limited is run out of Surya Prakash Vishwas’s place in Barjhallakusiari. That is near the Bastaul post office in the Pranpur block. The name Kisanekta means farmer unity and that is really why we started this. We saw that farmers in Pranpur were struggling to get good prices. By coming together in Barjhallakusiari, we have a better chance. It’s a very grounded business. We don't have a lot of office furniture. Mostly we just have some chairs and a desk where we do the accounts. People drop by all the time to talk about their crops. We listen and see how the company can help. It might be about getting better seeds or finding a buyer who pays on time. We don't pretend to be experts in everything. We just know what it’s like to work the land. The Bastaul area is a nice place but the work is hard. We try to make it a bit more manageable for everyone. There is no big marketing plan here. We just want to make sure the farmers get what they deserve for their hard work. It’s just us trying to do something good for our neighbors and our own families in the long run. We also try to share tips on how to handle the pests each season. It’s a group effort and we are all in it together. We just keep moving forward with the daily tasks. It is what it is.
