Keshiary Krishak Shakti Farmers Producer Company Limited

This group is based out of Kamarchowki in the Jamsole area, which is part of Midnapore West. It’s a farmers producer company, so it’s basically just a bunch of us locals trying to handle our agricultural work together. The office is at number 01, which isn't hard to find if you are familiar with the West Midnapore roads. We spend most of our mornings checking on the crops or talking about the market prices. Being in a village like Jamsole means everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We had a lot of meetings under the trees before we got this formal setup going. It’s a lot of work coordinating between so many farmers, and sometimes we disagree on the best way to handle the season. But we mostly just want to make sure the work gets done and the produce goes where it’s supposed to. The roads get a bit rough around here during the rainy season, but we manage to keep things going. We aren’t experts in big business stuff, we just know how to farm and how to work as a group. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to do everything by hand or wait for it to come back. It’s just how life is here in this part of Bengal. We hope to keep the local farming community active and just keep at it day after day. It is a long process but we stay busy.
