Garbeta-1 Block Krishikranti Farmers Producer Company Limited

This company belongs to the farmers of the Garhbeta-III area in West Midnapore. We set things up at Umesh Jana’s place in Baladghta Malbandi. It is a local initiative. Most of us have been farming these lands for our whole lives. We decided to form this producer company to give ourselves a bit more staying power when it comes to selling our crops. Garhbeta is a place with a lot of history in farming, and we are just trying to keep that going in a way that makes sense today. Our office is a quiet spot where we gather to talk about seeds, water, and the market prices. It’s not fancy at all. You’ll see muddy boots by the door and stacks of ledgers on the table. We don't use big words or have complicated plans. We just look at what the block needs and how we can work together to get it. Umesh’s house is where we keep all the records and hold our meetings. Sometimes these meetings go on for a long time because everyone has an opinion on how things should be done. That’s just how it is when you’re working with your neighbors. We are all just trying to make a living from the land and ensure that the farmers in this part of West Midnapore have a fair shake. It’s honest work, and we do it together as a community.
