Bengal Farm Seeds Private Limited operates out of Patipur. Our main office is located care of Subinoy Nandi. Patipur is a small place and everyone knows where Subinoy lives, so it is not too hard to find us if you are in the neighborhood. We handle a lot of seeds for the local farms around here. There are bags of grain and vegetable seeds sitting around the workspace most of the time. We spend the mornings sorting through things and talking to the people who come in from the nearby fields. Subinoy is usually around to help out with the paperwork or to see who is visiting. The building is not very big, just a practical space for a seed company. We have some basic shelves and a sturdy table for counting out what we need. It gets dusty sometimes with all the seed hulls and the wind blowing through the open door. We do not use any big machines, mostly just hands-on work. The weather really dictates how busy we are. When it is time to plant, the place is full of activity from early morning until late at night. Otherwise, it is a bit slower and we just tidy up the place. It is a straightforward life here in Patipur. We just focus on the seeds and making sure the farmers get what they need for their dirt. That is pretty much the whole story of what we do.
