Mahavan Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Bana, which is a part of the Mahavan Tehsil in Mathura. It is a dry area, and you can see the dust kicking up whenever a bike or a tractor passes by our office. The office is basically just a room with a fan that makes a lot of noise and doesn't do much. We are surrounded by mustard fields and wheat, depending on the time of year. Being in Mathura, we have a lot of history and temples around us, but for us, it is just about the daily grind of farming the land. We don't use any complicated software or have a marketing team to tell people what to do. It is mostly just me and a couple of others sitting down with the local growers to see how the crop is looking after the last rain. Sometimes the water level in the wells is an issue, and that’s all anyone talks about for weeks on end. We started this company because it felt like the right thing to do for the community here in Bana. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Uttar Pradesh, just a reliable place where people from the village can come and sort out their agricultural stuff. It’s a lot of sitting around, checking quality, and making phone calls to traders. The pace of life is slow and we like it that way.
