Brijbhushan Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Village Mehrana, which is in the Nandgaon area. You can find us with Sukhver Singh at his place in the village. This is the Kosi area, so we are very connected to the land here. We are just a group of local farmers who felt like we needed to organize ourselves a bit better. Sukhver Singh’s spot is where we gather to talk about the latest news in farming and what we need to do for the next season. It is a very quiet village for the most part, but we keep ourselves busy with the crops. We don't have any marketing people or anyone telling us how to speak, so we just talk like we always do. Farming in Mehrana is not always easy, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate, but having this company makes us feel like we aren't alone in it. We share our tools and our knowledge whenever someone is struggling. It is just a basic way of looking out for one another in Nandgaon. We don't spend much money on things that aren't necessary for the farm. Most of our time is spent out in the Kosi fields making sure everything is growing like it should. We are just simple people doing the work that has been done here for generations, just trying to keep things moving forward for our families. That is all there is to it.
