Jaimaa Dhakanwali Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Nagla Addu, which is part of Barhan. We operate from Garima Devi’s house in the village. This is a very rural area and we are all connected to the soil in one way or another. We started this company because we realized that we could do more if we worked as a single unit. It is not a formal business environment. You will find us sitting on the porch talking about the latest rains or the cost of fertilizers. Garima Devi manages the papers while the rest of us are usually out working the fields. We don't have any big advertisements or a sales team. We just talk to our neighbors in Nagla Addu. Our goal is simple: we want to make farming a bit more stable for the families around here. We deal with the collectors and the buyers so the individual farmers don't have to worry about it as much. It is a lot of responsibility and we are still learning how to handle all the rules and regulations. The days are hot and the work is exhausting, but it feels right to be doing this for our own community. We are just normal people who grew up here and want to see our village do well. There is nothing fancy about us, just honest farming and local cooperation. We keep our files in a small cabinet and try to stay organized.
