Bhavana Varites

Out here near Mathura Cantt, things move at their own pace. We’re located on Basantar Marg, right near the golf road. Our shop, Bhavana Varites, is the kind of place where you can find a bit of everything if you look long enough. The shelves are pretty packed, and sometimes it takes us a minute to remember exactly where we put that one specific item someone is asking for. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s usually a cousin or a brother sitting behind the counter. We get a lot of army folks coming in because of the location, and we’ve gotten used to the morning drills and the general feel of the area. It’s a reliable spot. We don't spend money on big posters or radio ads. Most people find us because they live nearby or their friend told them we had what they needed. The floors get a bit muddy during the monsoon, and we’re always sweeping out the dust that blows in from the road. It’s not a shiny mall store. It’s a real shop with real people. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars about the local news or the weather. We try to keep the prices fair and the stock full. It’s a simple life, running a shop in Mathura, and we’ve been doing it long enough that it feels like second nature now. We just do our bit and keep the doors open.
