A.R Steel Corporation

If you find yourself near the bus stand, you might have seen our shop. A.R Steel Corporation is up on the first floor of B.D Complex, specifically at Shop No. 17. It’s a busy area with people constantly moving around for their buses. Getting things up to the first floor can be a bit of a workout, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when we’re moving stock around. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of steel. It’s not the biggest space, but we make it work by organizing everything as best as we can. Sometimes it gets a bit cluttered when a new delivery arrives. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to folks who walk in from the street. The noise from the bus stand is always there in the background, which is just part of being in this neighborhood. We open up early in the morning and stay until things quiet down in the evening. There’s no big corporate team here, just us handling the daily tasks. We take our notes by hand mostly and keep a paper trail of what goes out. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us for a long time. We know the regulars by name and they know where to find us. It is just a normal steel shop doing its thing.
