Gaurahari Farmer Producer Companylimited is basically just us farmers here in Mahoba. We operate out of Amresh Kumari’s place in Supa Charkhari. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything. Most of the time, we are out in the fields or sitting around a table trying to figure out a sensible way to handle our crops. Being in Mahoba, things aren't always easy with the weather and the markets, so we thought having a formal group might help us out a bit. We don't have any fancy marketing people. It’s just local folks who know the soil here. Amresh Kumari helps keep things organized at the house. You might see us walking around the village talking about seeds or tools. We wanted a name that felt right, so we went with Gaurahari. It's a bit of a process to keep all the paperwork straight, and sometimes we get behind on things, but we’re doing our best. There is no big secret to what we do. We just grow what we can and try to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. If you are looking for us, just head toward Supa and ask for the company. We are usually around during the day. It is mostly about keeping the community going and making sure our work as farmers actually pays off at the end of the season. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just trying to survive and do well together.
