Mehndipur Maruti Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of Kankuwa in the Mahobkant area. We use Bhuvanendra Singh's place as a point for our business. Farming in Mahoba is not easy, the ground is hard and the water is always a problem. We are just a group of people from the village who thought it would be better to work together instead of everyone trying to sell their little bit of grain on their own. It gets very hot here in the summer and when the rain comes, everything changes fast. We mostly deal with the crops that grow well in this Hamirpur soil. It is a slow process to get things moving. Sometimes the paperwork is a bit much for us, but we manage. We aren't some big office in a city. We spend most of our time out in the fields or sitting around discussing what seeds to get for the next season. Being a producer company means we try to help each other out with equipment and stuff like that. There are many of us now and it helps when we go to the market. We are still learning how to run a company properly. It is different from just farming. We hope to keep things going even when the prices are low. Our office is just a simple room and we don't have fancy furniture. We just want to make sure the farmers around Mahoba get a fair deal for their hard work.
