Charkhari Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in Jaitpur, specifically around the Bachhechhr Khurd area in Mahoba. Our main spot is at Panchm Singh’s place. We are a collection of farmers from around the 210423 zip code who wanted to organize ourselves a bit better. Farming is a tough way to make a living, and it’s even tougher when you are doing it all by yourself. We aren't professional businessmen. We are people who spend our days in the fields, checking on the crops and making sure the irrigation is working like it should. We don't have a polished image or any kind of corporate ladder. It's just a bunch of neighbors helping neighbors. We use the space at Panchm Singh’s to store some supplies and keep track of who is growing what. Most of our meetings involve a lot of talk about the price of diesel and the quality of the seeds we bought. We don't have any big slogans or goals other than just getting through the next season successfully. It’s a lot of physical labor and sometimes things don’t go as planned, like when the rain doesn't come or a machine breaks down at the worst time. But we just keep going because that’s what we do. We are just a small part of the Jaitpur community trying to make things work a little bit better for everyone involved in the company.
