Jay Mataji Restaurant

If you are heading out towards Thol Lake, you’ll find us sitting right there in Thol Mahesana. It’s a quiet area mostly, except when the tourists come around to see the birds at the lake. We opened Jay Mataji Restaurant to give people a place to sit and eat something decent without having to go all the way into Mehsana city. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular spot near the road. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure the food is ready for the lunch rush. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty being near the main road, but we try to keep the tables wiped down. We see a lot of local farmers and travelers passing through. It’s hard work running a kitchen in this heat, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big menu with fancy names. It’s just the usual stuff people around here like to eat. Our address is 382728, which is helpful if you’re using a phone to find us. We don't really bother with big signs or lights. People know we are here. Sometimes we run out of things if the day is busier than we expected. That’s just how it is with a small place. We do our best to keep things moving. It’s a simple life out here near the lake.
