Impression Restaurant

We are situated at The Highness Hotel, right on the Mehsana Ahmedabad Highway. It’s a busy stretch of road, so we get a lot of people who are just passing through on their way to the city. If you look across the road, you’ll see the Jalaram Temple, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. We are also pretty close to ONGC Nagar, so we get those folks coming in too. Being on the highway means there is always dust and noise outside, but once you step inside the hotel, it settles down a bit. We don’t have a fancy story about why we started; we just saw a spot that needed a restaurant and we’ve been here ever since. The staff here is mostly local people from Mehsana or the nearby villages. We don't use those corporate scripts when we talk to guests. If the tea is hot, we tell you it's hot. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic during the lunch rush because of the travelers wanting to get back on the road. We try to keep the place looking decent, though the highway life is hard on buildings. It’s just a straightforward place to eat near the 384001 zip code. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. It’s just Impression Restaurant, sitting there opposite the temple, waiting for the next car to pull in. We do our best to stay open on time.
