Dhunna Electronics & Mobile Repair

We’ve been here at Kot Mangal Singh Street No 4 for a good while now. The shop is right on the main road so it gets pretty dusty with all the traffic passing by. Most days it is just us sitting behind the counter with a magnifying glass and some tiny screws. People bring in phones that have screens looking like spider webs or batteries that don't hold a charge for more than ten minutes. Sometimes it’s a TV that won't turn on or a remote that the dog chewed. We have parts scattered everywhere in little plastic bins. It isn't the fanciest looking place but we know where everything is. My hands usually have a bit of solder on them by noon. The tea guy comes around twice a day and we take a break then. Sometimes the repairs are quick and other times we have to wait for a specific part to arrive on a bus from the bigger market. We see the same faces every week, mostly folks from the neighborhood stopping by to ask if their device is fixed yet. There is always a pile of old circuit boards in the corner that we keep for spares. It gets loud with the horns outside but you get used to it. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. If it can be fixed, we usually find a way even if it takes some time to track down the issue.
