R P Mobile Services is a small shop located at Gur Mandi 4, right along the G.T Road. It’s a tight space because the market area is always crowded with people and scooters. We mostly focus on fixing phones and getting them back to their owners as fast as we can. Everyone uses their phone for everything these days, so when one breaks, it’s a big deal. We have a small workbench in the back with a soldering iron, some tiny screwdrivers, and a bright lamp. The front of the shop has a glass counter where we keep some spare parts and old handsets. It’s usually a bit messy with cables and components lying around, but that’s how a repair shop is supposed to look. People come in from the G.T Road all day long. Some have cracked screens, others have batteries that won't charge. We don't have a fancy waiting room; customers usually just stand around or go get a tea while we work. The noise from the market and the main road is constant, but it’s just part of the atmosphere here at Gur Mandi. We’ve been fixing mobiles here for quite a while. It’s a simple business. We see the problem, we try to fix it, and we give it back. There’s no big corporate mystery to it. We just work with our hands and try to keep up with the new models coming out.
